Greetings From the East!
Brethern,
The chill of an early Fall is in the air which is welcome after some of the weeks of intense heat and humidity this Summer. August was an active Month for those of us at Nebraska Lodge #1. We started out Bowling and ended up BBQ ing. We proved up Bro Aaron Thornton in the Master Degree and raised our newest Bro. Warren Miller fresh from the Combat of Iraq. We raised Warren on Aug 23rd with a Steak Dinner and a large number of Brothers present.
The Rib-Dinner Committee was busy preparing for our annual Fundraising Event. Although attendance could have been better, those who attended enjoyed the best ribs and pulled pork this side of Memphis. If you helped with the project, I extend to you a personal “Thank You!” If you were unable to make it out, plan on attending next year.
Congratulations to Bro Ed Sealock for receiving his proficiency card for the Fellow Craft Degree. Ed's continued hard work in the Work is worthy of recognition. Anyone interested in learning a Ritual role for Degree Work can talk with Br. John Fairlie or me.
If you have been away from the Lodge for some time, why not come out and see a strong and vibrant Lodge: Nebraska #1. Look forward to seeing you at Lodge, Brother.
Yours in Freemasonry,
WM John Brommer
